Volunteer Opportunities

       

Opportunities for Volunteer Support Include:

Development Office
: Volunteers help with mailings, data entry and assistance with special events.

Environmental Services: Volunteers help with maintenance and grounds keeping. Some may also assist with light housekeeping and linen preparation.

Greeter/Escort/Reception: Volunteers offer a friendly face to visitors, offering directions and information ensuring smooth patient flow. Volunteers also help transport visitors by wheelchair if necessary.

Home Health and Hospice: Volunteers provide friendly visits to homebound patients and support and respite for their families. Hospice trained volunteers work as part of an interdisciplinary team caring for the terminally ill in their homes and inpatient facilities. They also assist families with bereavement services and work with the administrative services team.

Inpatient Services: Volunteers assist the patient care staff visiting with patients, providing information, answering questions & providing basic amenities.

Milestone Cafe: Volunteers serve as cashiers providing friendly customer service and assisting staff by restocking supplies and keeping the dining area neat.

Office Administration: Volunteers perform a variety of clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, data entry and phone work within a number of different departments.

Pastoral Visitation: Volunteers provide opportunities for patients, residents and their families to experience quiet meditation or prayer.

Senior Programs, Assisted Living Facilities, and Adult Care Services: Volunteers help with resident activities, excursions, letter writing, reading, crafts, gardening, & music. Volunteers also provide visitations and assistance to residents at mealtime. Chase Point, Cove’s Edge and St. Andrews Village staff enjoy all volunteers who bring their time and talents to our residents.

Therapy Dog Visitation Program: Trained therapy dogs and their handlers provide companionship and diversion from the normal health care routine.

Wellness Rehabilitation: Volunteers help staff with patients and also monitor treatment supplies and assist with equipment readiness.
